Overview
Anesthesia is a medical specialty that involves the administration of drugs to prevent or reduce pain and other sensations during surgical or other medical procedures. These practice questions will test a student's understanding of the principles and practices of anesthesia, including the pharmacology of anesthetic drugs, the physiology of pain and consciousness, and the physiology of perioperative care. Students will be tested about the various types of anesthesia, including general, regional, and local anesthesia, as well as the different techniques used to administer these anesthetics. Additionally, students will practice their knowledge about the various monitoring techniques used to ensure patient safety and comfort during anesthesia.
